V2 Product Update - Due to the softeness of the foot pocket & heel strap, we did receive some feedback that the fins were a getting blasted off a little easier in bigger waves. To counteract this, the V2 Heel Strap is now a regular DaFiN durometer. The result is a more secure fin, with minimal compromise to comfort.

Not only is Mark Cunningham one of the World's Best Watermen, he's probably the best bodysurfer to have ever lived, and would have spent more hours with swimfins on his feet than anyone. He's spent many years refining it down to this product so we're feeling pretty safe to say swimfins wont get much better than this if he backs it!

While all DaFiN foot pockets are Soft and comfortable compared to other fins - this one is next level! The Natural Gum rubber used has no additives which makes it super soft, making this the most comfortable swimfin going round.

Warranty Claims

DaFiN Surfing Products guarantees this product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser for purchases made from an authorized dealer and is not transferable.

This warranty is limited to a one-off replacement only of any swim fin found to be defective in materials or workmanship or the replacement of any swim fin that suffers a broken heel strap or blade through normal and proper usage, provided the owner has properly maintained the product (see our Care Instructions page).

For warranty items purchased in-store via one of our DAfin retailer, please contact the original place/store of purchase with proof of purchase.

For warranty items purchased online, please contact DaFin Swimfins first at info@dafinsaustralia.com with proof of purchase and photos of the fins attached to the email.

If the item is deemed to be faulty, we will cover the cost of shipping back to us & we'll cover the return shipping cost.

COMFORT

DaFiN Swimfins feature a silky smooth foot pocket which is soft over the top of the toes and foot to prevent blisters and chafing while the bottom of the pocket is rigid to transmit power to the blade. This is achieved through the use of all natural, high quality, 100% Malaysian Rubber (the best!).

Generally, Fin socks or booties are not required for comfort when using DaFiN Swimfins.

POWER

DaFiN Features a revolutionary design developed to create maximum power with minimum effort. The side “strakes” act to keep water from spilling off the outer edge of the fin on the down stroke. The strakes work in conjunction with a slightly elevated V-shaped foot pocket to create a chamber that allows maximum acceleration of the water flowing over the fin surface resulting in more thrust per kick.

To top it off, DaFiN is one of the lightest surf fins on the market. Less weight equals less strain.

OUR HISTORY

While it's Hawaiian in its name, DaFiN was developed by Andy Cochran, an Aussie who has made Hawaii his home for the past 35 years. Cochran had been a lifeguard at Australia’s famous Bondi Beach and was one of Oz’s early surfing pioneers. In the mid-1990’s, he created the initial design for DaFiN out of a wooden block. Fins were produced in Australia and then put to the test in Hawaii with world renowned Hawaiian watermen Mark Cunningham and Brian Keaulana. Mark and Brian shared a passion with Andy to develop a high quality swim fin for ocean lifeguards that was powerful, yet comfortable, and versatile enough to provide any user a level of safety in the ocean. Their invaluable input helped guide Cochran as he refined and retooled DaFiN from initial prototype to amazing product it is today. Also super cool to see the guys that were there from the beginning are still heavily involved with DaFiN.
